Today I paid over $40 to fill up a tank of gas

Don't believe me?

Here's the proof:

If you can't read that, it shows that I paid $40.92 to put 15.161 gallons of gas in my tank at $2.69/gal for the cheapest gas at Exxon.

The other gas prices were $2.79/gal or $2.89/gal.

And if you think that's expensive, it was actually the cheapest gas I found before I hit the road. I saw one place on Sunset that was $2.83/gal for their cheapest gas and $3.05/gal for the most expensive.

I'm sure it's even more expensive in Beverly Hills.

Actually, it's better to think of it as $2.70/gal. Those pennies add up.

It's $2.69 per gallon for premium here in Charlotte. We're just waiting for the next set of excuses they can dream up. [rant] If it's not storms in the Gulf of Mexico, it's war in the Middle East. If it's not outright war in the Middle East, it's the Saudi displeasure with their successor to the King. If it's not the Saudi situation, it's Iran and their nuclear reactor. What's next? Oh, how about "We ran out of excuses, so we'll just tell you now. Pay up, suckers." I'm so sick and tired of the media playing along with the excuses, then pandering to the masses about how terrible it is. [/rant]

That is what we are paying in the midwest now. They are threatening over $3 by labor day. Think I am going to get a horse...maybe a bike would be better.

AZ is at least that. I think we saw $2.52 somewhere... but for the most part it was that much :(
