Just popping in to say that I'm fine.
Evidently the fixing of the A/C for the remainder of the day created more burning smells. No one got hurt. All is good.
Hopefully tomorrow we will get A/C again (that doesn't smell like burning anything, that is).

We had a real fire (http://www.wthr.com/Global/story.asp?s=2751085) once. It was on my birthday (Dec 31) I wasn't working at the time.
