Why I can't look away...

The Star Wars Line: Super Nerd* Trainwreck!

1) These are Super Nerds who are waiting in line for 6 weeks for a movie
2) The movie is most likely going to suck
3) They are lined up in front of a theatre that is NOT showing the movie
4) They movie is actually showing at a theatre a couple of blocks away but...
5) The Nerds are KEEPING THE LINE IN FRONT OF THE WRONG THEATER "in protest" (of what?!)
6) The Nerds aren't planning on moving the line to the right theatre... and even if they did, it wouldn't matter because anyone can buy tickets online (from the comfort of home) and get reserved seats that are just as good as those who are waiting in line in person.
7) Which wouldn't matter anyway, since they are in front of the wrong theatre

*No nerds were harmed in the writing of this post.

That's so hilarious! I saw the ones in Seattle that were lined up for months for Part 2 three years ago. I cannot imagine being that desperate.

I do plan on watching the movie, but I WON'T wait in line 6 weeks! Hopefully by the time I go it will be about 6 minutes HEHE Need to start saving $$ now though. Hitchhikers is coming too!

At least they're not breeding and passing their defective genes on to a new generation.

Which, admittedly, wasn't that great a threat BEFORE the lineup started...

I'm a Star Wars fan, and I did line up for tickets for Episode I 5 days in advance. It was great. 5 days of not working, sitting in the sun, watching movies, sleeping, and having free beer and pizza delivered to you on a regular basis. Having said that, in this age of the interwebportal, I plan on buying my tickets online and not waiting a bit. Besides, the Arclight rocks.

I don't even think I'm going to see it. The other 2 have been nothing but a waste of 10 bucks, so i think I'll wait till it's out on DVD

"Well kids, I know it's not the movie you wanted to see, but since we've been standing in line for 6 weeks, might as well make lemonade of lemons and go see this chick flick instead."

See, this is the true difference between Nerds and Geeks. You're right. Geeks get shit done. Geeks kick ass. Geeks buy movie tickets online.

What a bunch of, well, nerds.
