What do I do with all this egg nog?

I have a confession. I don't really like egg nog. I'll have some in small amounts, but I'm just not fond of it.

But I bought two whole cartons for when we had people over last week, but the mulled apple cider that Yoshi made was such a big hit that no one touched the egg nog.

The two cartons are sitting in my fridge, unopened, waiting for the expiration date to pass.

What a waste.

Aren't there recipes that incorporate eggnog? cakes or something? That way you can go through all sorts of trouble -- mixing it with flour eggs etc -- and then throw it out. Get some mega-waste happening.

Merry Christmas to you, too!

I hate eggnog! I never buy it even for my guest.

Arrgh! Eggnog is foul!

Note to self: Do not go to any jozjozjoz parties till the eggnog expires...

Happy Holidays!

I'm with you, I only like egg nog in small doses. Here are several Eggnog recipes:

http://www.bhg.com/home/Eggnog-Recipes.html

or you can visit Allrecipes.com and enter Eggnog into the ingredient search and you'll find a bunch, too.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday!

That was very nice of you to drop by! I hate eggnog also so you can't bring any to me. My husband likes it, but doesn't need it. (has to lose 10 pounds to get off his blood pressure meds)Happy Holidays! Hint: Get some rum or whiskey and serve hard eggnog to your guests at the New Year!

Sorry, I have no clue what to do with 2 extra cartons of egg nog. How about taking them to work and sharing them with your co-workers?

Yikes, I can't find eggnog anywhere here - send me yours!! Love the stuff, wish it was made year round. But then the pudgy stomach would become a pillow and I can't have that.
THanks for visiting my blog

I'm pretty sure there's a cookie recipe with eggnog, so you don't have to waste it.

Thanks for dropping by my blog! Have a happy holiday and a wonderful new year. :)

Ok so hey, completely unrelated topic -- what kind of dog is rusty? He's way too cute. I have a yorkie-poo that looks just like him just different coloring. SO CUTE!! Maybe he'd like some eggnog? lol j/k

Have an eggnog party??

Have a great holiday :)

Ugh. Eggnog is the one Christmas tradition of the Other Half's that I refused to sample.

I'm not fond of eggnog either, mulled wine is SO much nicer, it's a pity you couldn't have handed it to your guests as they were leaving :)

Posted by: Bec at December 26, 2004 08:45 PM

we did both the mulled wine and nog. everyone who drank the nog was excruciatingly ill the next day (just like all the folks in 'Airplane' who had the chicken). Dump the nog! It's only served once a year because it's liquid evil!

happy new year!

chepooka, rusty was 3/4 poodle, 1/4 shih-tzu. in that pic, he was around 12 years old.

I don't like eggnog, there was a carton in my fridge that went to spoil-nasty!

Posted by: shelli at December 27, 2004 08:53 AM

I actually like eggnog, but I like to flavor it with brandy or rum.

I start with about 1Tbl liquor per cup of nog...then increase the amount as the night gets older.

Spiced wine is also yummy tho. would love to get that recipe from yoshi :)
