I just posted an entry and the following popped up in a window after I published:
An error occurred:
MySQL server has gone away
WHAT?!
Posted by jozjozjoz at April 28, 2004 01:30 PMI'd say that this is because the server has gotten fed up with you, but how exactly does one get fed up with jozjozjoz? It is illogical.
Posted by: Robert W. Leu at April 28, 2004 06:27 PMi get that every once and a while. i haven't figured out why it happens. if you figure it out, let me know!
Posted by: lomara at April 28, 2004 07:38 PMdon't you love it when programs throw random errors and expect you to know what they mean?
Posted by: Jon at April 28, 2004 10:05 PMIts gone, gone to a place rarely visited...
Posted by: kinkoman at April 29, 2004 08:34 AMIt went out for flan.
Posted by: orbicon at April 29, 2004 12:04 PMI kidnapped it! Mwhahahahahahaa! Now my collection of MySQL servers is complete and I can take over the world.
Seriously, I have that problem on occasion too and it may stem from not having the MySQL in the traditional directory of the server.
