stkyrice & aiyahh are getting married standing in line again!!! (aka : It's a small world.)

[I was trying to post this earlier, but I was actually *gasp* working... if you think that this looks familiar, visit the Valentine's Day post...]

Our friends stkyrice & aiyahh are in line at City Hall in SF right now to get married to get tickets for The Producers in NYC!!

Efren and Howard! This photo was taken by Amy Langfield and posted at buzznet aiyahh stkyrice (Efren) is on the left and stkyrice aiyahh (Howard) is on the right! Photo by Amy Langfield and posted at Buzznet
Marriage is love... The World's Most Famous Married Gay Asian Male Couple™!

stkyrice is IMing me with his Sidekick while in the 2-3 hour wait. I want pictures! I wish I was up there in New York City to be the photographer!

They've been in line since 10am I dunno when. They say that it's "controlled chaos" there and that everyone is very excited! I'm sitting here at my desk and I'm excited for them! [Ok, they didn't say the "controlled chaos" thing this time, but they COULD have!]

I am trying to convince them to lead everyone waiting in a "We are getting married Producers tickets!" cheer. [Ok, I'm done now...]

... actually, the coolest part of this story is below...

Condensed IMs with Marc Brown of blogblogblog / buzznet

joz: so my friends howie and efren, the gay asian male couple who got married and i blogged about them standing in line? Do you remember that?
marc: yes
joz: so efren sends me IMs from his sidekick to me "i'm standing in line again" so i say "want me to blog about it?"
marc: gettin married again?
joz: (no, they're in NYC, in line for The Producers)
joz: so i am joking around that i would [blog about it] but that "i'd better get pictures, buddy!!!"
joz: so he says ok and then the next thing i get is an IM
joz: efren: "we found someone to take our picture for us. it's on her site at so steal it from there"
joz: i recognized her name from buzznet!
joz: they don't know amy... she happened to be waiting in line for tickets, too! so she was nice enough to post their picture (and other producers photos) to buzznet!
marc: ha ha
marc: hilarious
marc: i know amy from college
joz: anyway... small world
marc: totally. yeah bizarre.
marc: and i'm up in S.F. w/ my friend k, who also knows amy

Amazing, isn't it? Thanks again to Amy Langfield for photo documenting howard and efren in line!!!

I really, REALLY want to see The Producers. :(

I've been listening to the soundtrack forever...would be nice to actually see the show for once.

Hold on I'm doing the math that's like a cajillion to 1.

Posted by: Genuine at March 25, 2004 08:04 PM we just finished watching it, and we absolutely loved it! it was a 3 hour wait for the tickets, and we had to stand up the whole frickin' time, but we were right behind everyone on the main level. definitely worth the $26, and the lack of seats and having to wait months or years to see it. too bad we never got any water, flowers or candy while we were waiting, but at least we got to sit!

You could re-run the final episode of this season's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" with Larry David on HBO, and see a good bit of the show. Of course, it's got Larry David as Biyalistock and David Schwimmer as Bloom, but it's still enjoyable. Especially with Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft also starring.

forget, the theater... i am jealous of the love, marriage, smiley, blah blah blah whatever stuff! someday my prince will come... unless it is Prince, and then even though i am a little bit of a fan, i might have to say no, on account that is is a bit short for my liking (unfair biase, i know...) and he is a bit creepy. and joz still refuses to get married to me, even just for a green card...

Keith, I did watch that episode. They only showed a little bit of a couple of scenes. And, as you mentioned...not quite the A-list actors in those roles.

Eric, apparently Prince is an excellent basketball player, according to Charlie Murphy (Eddie's brother), so at least he has that going for him despite his size. :D Hmm..the creepy factor might tip things out of balance, though.
