I didn't do it.

It wasn't me. I swear I didn't break the garage door.

I was so tired when I got home from work tonight that I ended up crashing out. I was awakened a few hours later when Yoshi came in the bedroom to put some laundry away. After sitting around like a groggy zombie for a bit, I asked Yoshi if I could do anything to help (seeing as Yoshi had been doing everything around the house, and I had done nothing ).

The only thing Yosh asked me to do tonight was to go out to the garage, bring in the clothes in the dryer, and close up the garage for the evening.

It all was going so smoothly until it was time to close that darned garage door. Since it doesn't have an electric door opener/closer, it's not as easy as pushing a button and letting the magic of technology do the rest. I actually have to reach up, grab the door, and swing the door shut. Actually, because I'm not exactly as tall as Yao Ming and can't quite reach the garage door when it's up, I have to grab the string that is tied to the door to shut it.

All I know is that I grabbed the string, yanked on it like I normally do, and the door did not come down like it was supposed to. I tried this several times and didn't see anything keeping the door from closing. So I left it open and had to go inside and tell Yoshi that I couldn't figure out how to close the garage door.

Me (sheepishly): Um, Hunny... I, um, don't know how to close the garage door. It, um, won't close, and um, I can't figure it out. Yeah.

Yoshi gave me a baffled look, bordering on that look one has when you think someone is a complete gaytard* : "You BROKE the garage door?" said Yosh, half-laughing, half-worried. "How did you do that?"

So Yoshi ended up having to go out to the garage, anyway. It turns out that the door had been tied up to keep the door from falling in the wind.

At least I didn't hang on the bottom of the garage door like I was going to.
