Janet Jackson's boob shot seems to be what everyone is talking about.
If seeing her right tit left you feeling unbalanced, remember that jozjozjoz showed her left tit way back in July. Except I didn't have a silver medallion pastie thing on my nipple.
Anyway, Matt Drudge, Mikey, Mikey2, FridayFishWrap, skits, and fran, are all talking about it have all brought it up. And I'm guilty of it, too.
I'm with Joelle, I'm over the overexposure (pun intended). Janet and her boobage, Madonna and Britney with their faux-lesbo liplock, they all need to ship off to a tiny island with no cameras and live in obscurity for a while.
And "wardrobe malfunction," "unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional," and "regrettable," my big fat ass. Call a spade a spade or a stunt a stunt. And shut the hell up.
P.S. - Just so we're clear, the 'shut the hell up' is directed to the network and all the people "apologizing." This was obviously a planned stunt, so stop "apologizing." (Yvonne's quotes makes the statement quite perfect.)
UPDATE: I edited some of the original post as I did not intend to make it sound like the folks above were obsessing over Janet Jackson's boobage. I simply meant to link back to some of the interesting things that were being said about the whole incident. I apologize if that was the implication that was made... it surely was not intended. But I still think the networks need to shut the hell up and stop apologizing. They don't mean it. But my apology is sincere.
Posted by jozjozjoz at February 2, 2004 11:48 AMI am so with you on this... It amazes me how Celberities whine about getting now privacy yet go out and make donkey's of themselves. This need to shock the television public is so old now and days you can almost expect someone to pull a stunt.
Talk about taking the focus away from a good game.

Today is Groundhog day!
Happy Groundhog day Joz! ;)
Posted by: fran at February 2, 2004 01:34 PMTo be clear, I brought it up on my site because I wasn't sure I saw what I saw...then I made a follow-up post denouncing the intentional publicity stunt. I'll thank you to bear that in mind.
Buhbye.
Posted by: Mikey2 at February 2, 2004 03:01 PMI know, Mikey2. I didn't mean to imply that you needed to shut up. I meant that the stupid people 'apologizing' for nothing need to shut up.
I am guilty for bringing it up as well.

YES! Preach it! I know that I don't wear silver pasties unless I intend to flash my stuff anyhow :)
