Being a lazy bum is expensive, but fun!
Last Wednesday, I had the pleasure of lunching with marc brown at fabiolus (at Sunset and Vine, near Amoeba Records) yesterday. It was a pleasure to see him again. Look! He took a picture and posted it on buzznet!
The next day, one of the guys on the lot took me out to lunch and we ended up at the Raleigh Cafe at Raleigh Studios (across the street from Paramount Studios).

I can't remember the last time I brought my lunch from home, but I've basically been eating out everyday for the last two or three weeks... as if my wallet hasn't already hurting from the Jobe Benjamin print & other spontaneous expenses.
I also took my assistant out to lunch this week to Prado (Contemporary Cuisine of the Americas) on Larchmont. Prado is owned by the Toribio Prado (think Cha Cha Cha and Cha Cha Cha Chicken) and his family. The Prados' personal story is almost as interesting as their business story.
And I just offered to take the P.A. out to lunch. We haven't decided where we're going yet. (I'll try to post an update later.) UPDATE: We ended up at Louise's on Larchmont, a few doors down from Prado.
Tonight, I plan on having another meal on Larchmont... next door to Prado at Kiku Sushi with a friend I met years ago at the Playboy Mansion party I went to. Oh my! ;)

You have no idea how much fun that was to read as I sit here eating my chicken club salad from Jack in the Box.
