I have used every conceivable mode of public transportation in this city and sat next to every conceivable type of fellow traveler. And though I’m the first one to support and defend our mass transit arena I’ll be the last one to say your apprehension is not unfounded. I’m very proud of you for keeping it at bay if just only this one time. Bravo!

I have lived here for more than four years and still have not used public transportation. I am scared too.

Joz, I have travelled the metro in LA and I am used to transportation in Australia, and your metro system is actually pretty good… and if a small blonde girl from Australia can ride it then I promise you its not scary. BTW love your blog!

Eh, people are always like this. I used to think that I was a magnet, but I see you have it as well. You sit next to the screechers – I sit next to the projectile vomiters. I’ll make sure we never got to any event together – that would be ugly! :)
