The dangers of having chips in the candy bowl.

It may come as a surprise to you, but I don’t have much of a sweet tooth.

It may sound blasphemous, but chocolate doesn’t do it for me. I like the occasional fruity hard candy and I enjoy most Japanese candies (it’s a different kind of sweetness), but basically I can pass up a candy aisle, no problem.

This is why it was ok for the candy bowl to sit at my desk. I can look at it and not want to eat anything in there… unless someone starts putting the snack-sized bags of Frito-Lay chips inside!

Yes, I admit it… I have a thing for SALTY, CRUNCHY snacks!

Bossguy had purchased a variety pack of 50 bags of chips… Lays, Ruffles, Cheetos, Fritos, Doritos (Cool Ranch and regular)… and he brought them to the office to stock my Big Bowl of Goodies™.

Let’s just say that in the last week, my diet has exceeded its quota of stuff from the “-itos” food group.

Blarrgh.

Salty and crunchy…is that how Yoshi is? :)

I love salty snacks…though I like sugary ones too. But I’d miss salt so much more..pretzels are my favorite, but Frito-Lay’s “Munchies” take the cake…there’s no better snack…

I’m afraid of the Take 5 bar after Cybele’s not-so-stellar review of them on http://www.candyblog.net

What are those mustard pretzel things? not an -ito item, but one of my weaknesses! I feel you on the salty/crunchy…

I have a sweet tooth, but In my own defense I am not much of a snacker. Cheese and crackers are my weakness, though.

Incidentally, how are Japanese sweets a “different kind” of sweetness? Isn’t that like saying that you don’t like chips, but you do like pretzels, because it’s a “different kind” of saltiness?

placed in the position where i had the choice to save my husband’s life, my legs from amputation or a lifetime supply of cheez-its…i need some time to think on that one. salty starchy crunchy yummies win out over any other snack for me.

they should make gold foil heart boxes of cheetos for valentine’s day. that’s love.

japanese sweets, chinese too, are different from american sweets - sorta subtler - less in your face. definately jellier. jellier - tee!

    love and carbs!
