It wasn’t so bad at the Holiday Card Sweatshop yesterday…

First, BossGuy bought us lunch so we could eat while we worked to get the first few hundred cards out.

Then he called it quits early for us because he had paid for a Mocha Kiss Coffee Cart to come to the office to provide special coffee drinks to the entire floor. (I stilled stayed to the end of the day to catch up on non-Holiday card related work.)

I was fortunate enough to get an invitation to the same holiday party he was invited to Friday night at the Geisha House, so Yoshi and I ran into him there. I think he felt so bad for making me (and by way of me, Yoshi Elf) work in his Holiday Card Sweatshop that he invited us to join him and his lady for dinner.

We ended up at Chaya in Beverly Hills where Michelle Yeoh was having dinner 3 tables over… she looked HOT! (From the Geisha House to a star of Memoirs of a Geisha… What is this? Geisha Night?)

chayabh.jpgThe food was YUMMY! For appetizers, we had the Tuna Tuna Tuna (Spicy Tuna Roll, Tuna Sashimi and Tuna Tataki), Banzai Roll (Soft Shell Crab, Kaiware & Cucumber, wrapped with Masago, served with Spicy Ponzu & Wasabi Mayonnaise), Escargot Cocotte with Chopped Mushrooms, Pan-Sautéed Sonoma Foie Gras with Caramelized Fuji Apple Tart, and Yoshi and I split an Organic Hearts of Romaine Salad with Meyer Lemon & Fresh Herb Vinaigrette Toasted Pecans & Shaved Parmesan.

I ordered the Seared Blue Fin Tuna (not on the menu, but it was on top of a fancy potato pancake, with deep-fried shiitake mushrooms, shrimp, and a bed of veggies… can’t remember what kind). Yoshi ordered the Miso-Marinated White Sea Bass in Tamari Yuzu Sauce Japanese Eggplant & Broccolini.

Then we all shared 3 desserts… Meyer Lemon Meringue Pie with Strawberry Sorbet, Banana Banana Banana (Warm Banana Tart & Banana Ice Cream whipped with Mixed Berries, topped with a Frozen Chocolate Covered Banana), and the Flourless Rich Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream, Caramelized Banana, Caramel Sauce and Toasted Almonds.

Then we waddled home and crashed out from food coma.

Sorry I missed that. I’s love to see Joz Joz Joz eat Tuna Tuna Tuna followed by Banana Banana Banana!

Man, that food sounds delicious, now I’m hungry. Thanks Joz. And I think Michelle Yeoh is hot at any time, she’s just a beautiful woman.

Ohhh, I love Chaya. I went there for dinner on my 28th birthday and haven’t been back since. I need to get on that.

    Dammit, now I’m hungry.
