this is our new rice cooker. it’s a very small picture, and believe me, you don’t want to see the pictures i tried to take of the box. blurry or completely whited out by the flash. i’m so talented, you see…
i’ll let jozjozjoz fill you in on the details.
Looks very anti-septic and techno. I don’t think it’s a real rice cooker. It must be a rice teleporter, which, tehnically doesn’t make it a member of the rice cooker family.
reminds me of a makeshift toilet. Does it flush too? Can it steam my dumplings? Dumplings…im getting hungry. Later!
That thing looks awesome! I have something very similar. It looks like a little robot.
i get the impression you are pretty happy with your new rice cooker?!! i didn’t even know there was such a thing as a rice cooker! i hope you are well :-
it’s purdy. congratulations! you have a rice cooker
….it’s pretty, I’m jealous I don’t have one
That’s kind of what mine looks like! Can you make congee in it too?
what’s congee?
congee is rice porridge or jook. most rice cookers now can make it pretty easily.
just hope taht your rice cooker and roomba don’t plan on apartment domination!
oh man, i don’t want rice porridge in my house. reminds me of when we used to get stomach aches and my mom would make us eat it with umeboshi!
that looks great….i need to buy me one of those off the Web…i still use the microwave quite often for rice-cooking.
well, cooking rice porridge isn’t that hard to make…just one little plastic cup of that rice, 11 cups of water, cook for 2 1/2 hours…congee. way too much for me (or the husband when he has a craving for it)
I like my rice cooked with chicken broth, chopped green onions, pecans, mushrooms, and a teaspoon or more of curry powder. Some sliced smoked sausage isn’t too bad in it, either.
