…I think my brain is going to fall out of my head.
(Why does Quantum Leap air like 10000 times on Mondays?)
I definitely need sleep. I just did the yay clap for this:
Quantum Leap: A Bold Leap Forward (2005)

It’s a good thing the Foster’s eggs were adopted by T a few days ago because that’s the only reason they survived the weekend.
We had some people over on Sunday afternoon so I thought I’d put out a few snacks. And I thought I’d make some deviled eggs, which meant bye-bye Halloween eggs.
Here’s the proof:

And the finished product (well, the entire spread, really):
![]()
In addition to the deviled eggs, we had pistachios, peanut butter filled pretzels, a spread of wheat and poppy seed crackers and mini-toasts, brie, jarlsberg, and monterey jack cheese, a veggie platter (broccoli, celery, carrots) with spinach dip, mixed nuts, Peppermint Bark from Williams-Sonoma, little crunch oatmeal raisin cookies, and a mess of drink options.
While there were some mishaps during the making of the deviled eggs, the eggs were a hit & were completely gobbled up… they ended up being only thing that we didn’t have leftovers of.
…that I was cleaning all day yesterday and I still have more to do?
Sigh.
Maybe I’m a sucker for a good Pixar film, but it was so worth getting to the theatre more than an hour early on opening night (I almost NEVER see a movie in the theatre the day it opens) to stand in line (in the cold) to get good seats. I even wore my own superhero outfit (ok, I had a red shirt on and happened to bring my black gloves… I didn’t plan it that way).
And at the end of the movie, I couldn’t decide what was my favorite part of the movie because I had so many. We got home past 1am and yet I was more hyper than a 5 year old who’d eaten all her Halloween candy in one sitting.
So today, I went to The Incredibles site to picture myself as a superhero. I made an ID, too, but didn’t turn out so well. Turns out my Superhero name is Miss Majestic Dudette.
Ok, then.
At least I made myself a cool “J” emblem:
Did anyone else (aside from stkyrice & aiyahh) see the movie yet & what did you think? (No spoilers for the others, please!)

Proud to be a voting citizen of the US, but unhappy with the results of the presidential election? Who needs an “I voted” sticker that will fall off or get mangled in the wash when you can get your own I voted in ‘04 and all I got was this lousy president t-shirt, lunchbox, or mug?!
Get your “I voted” t-shirt, lunchbox, or mug now at the ::jozjozjoz:: CafePress store.
Don’t forget, you can also order your jozjozjoz flan thong there, as well. ![]()
Dear Professoreric,
We miss you so much. Especially in these unfortunate times. Where are you where have you gone? We need you like we need: air, water, food, TiVo, candy, and/or rice… What I am saying is, it is a sad day when I cannot log onto www.jozjozjoz.com and find pleasant rantings about how disappointed you are with the gay community, or how you hate the state of healthcare in America, or how you almost got eaten by a shark. Do you get what I am saying we need you. Don’t you all agree? What have been up to that you have disappeared from our lives? Are you pregnant? Are you trying to get pregnant? Are you still eating snacks in the corner? And we need more post-it note art! It was promised. Ok…. I will try and calm down a bit. But please let me and the rest of our faithful readers know. We deserve it. And we miss you… right? Right.
Sitting here crying,
Sincerely,
The President of the Professoreric Fanclub
Five years ago, I went through one of the toughest periods of my life. On November 3, 1999, my maternal grandmother passed away. Although she had been ill earlier that year, she had received a completely clean bill of health just two weeks prior. So even though she’d been diagnosed with a rare & severe form of adult leukemia in March or April of that year, she had beat it into remission with some hardcore chemo therapy by May, and she began to regain her health and vigor with each passing week.
My grandmother never gave up on anything, so that’s why no one but her doctor was surprised that she beat cancer at 80, just like she’d beat everything else in her life. So when she suddenly landed in the hospital in October, we were shocked. My entire life seemed to unravel at the seams in the span of a couple of weeks & instead of going to work or class, I spent nearly every day & night at the hospital with my Mom, Bro, aunt, or other relative. On November 3, when she knew that the entire family was gathered by her bedside, she left peacefully in her sleep. I will always be grateful that we were all together for her that day.
My grandmother was one of the most influential figures in my life. She was in so many ways a role model for the kind of strong, independent, free thinking, ground-breaking woman I’d always wanted to be. Perhaps on another day that I’m not quite so emotional and sentimental, I can write up a proper tribute to her, but today I just need to hold tight in my heart all the memories I can muster up of this great woman whose passing still brings tears to my eyes five years later.
I don’t know how five years passed so quickly, but when I think of all the ways that my life has changed for the better since she left this world, I feel that a large portion of my good fortune has been because I was blessed by the gift of her presence in my life. I am proud to be even a tiny part of her legacy.

Block the Vote Hero: J. Kenneth Blackwell, Ohio Sec. of State
Kenny had the foresight to require that all new voter registrations be submitted on “white, uncoated paper of not less than 80-pound text weight.” He made this announcement after seeing voter registration increase by 250% in Ohio’s Democratic areas.

Block the Vote Hero: Wally O’Dell, CEO of Diebold, Inc.
While pitching voting machines to Ohio, Wally told a GOP crowd that he is “committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the President next year.” Diebold has been charged with hiding severe security flaws in their e-voting machines.
Block the Vote Playing Cards: 54 individuals who have courageously placed career, reputation, and self-respect on the line in order to prevent total voter enfranchisement.
…I ALREADY VOTED!
I voted by absentee and my ballot is being turned in today by my Mom or Bro.
Have YOU voted?
UPDATE: I wasn’t going to make a big deal about who I voted for, but it should be pretty obvious that I voted for Kerry and that I’d rather throw walnuts at Bush.
…at his Halloween Mikestravaganza on Saturday night.
I was dressed “as a blogger” (i.e.- the only lameass there who did not have a costume) and Mike was a Vegas tourist.
Of course, by the time I got there, Mike was already dressed in his second costume for the night.
I’m still waiting to see photos of him in his first costume… his homemade Lego Man outfit.
I didn’t get to see him wearing it, but I did see it sitting as “decor” in near the buffet.
